Stride (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Stride collects, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Overview

Stride is an iOS application that helps users reduce screen time by unlocking selected apps after completing step goals. Stride operates entirely on-device and does not require account creation.

2. Information We Collect

Stride does not collect or store personal data on external servers.

The app accesses the following data only with your explicit permission:

Apple Health Data

With your authorization, Stride reads:

• Step count data

Stride:

• Does not store Health data on external servers
• Does not sell or share Health data
• Uses Health data solely to determine lock/unlock status

Screen Time Permissions

Stride uses Apple’s Screen Time (FamilyControls/ManagedSettings) framework to:

• Apply app restrictions
• Remove restrictions when goals are met

Stride does not access browsing history or personal content within apps.

Notifications

If enabled, Stride may send local notifications related to:

• Missed milestones
• Streak protection
• Medal achievements

Notifications are generated locally on your device.

3. Data Storage

All user data (including:

• Step goals
• Weight logs
• Medal progress
• Lock configurations

) is stored locally on your device.

Stride does not operate external databases or cloud storage.

If you delete the app, all stored data is permanently removed.

4. Third-Party Services

Stride uses Apple-provided frameworks:

• HealthKit
• FamilyControls
• ManagedSettings
• StoreKit (for subscriptions)

Stride does not integrate advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking tools.

5. Subscriptions

Stride offers optional paid subscriptions (“Stride Pro”) through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Payments are processed securely by Apple. Stride does not have access to your payment details.

6. Your Rights

You may:

• Revoke Health access at any time in iOS Settings
• Revoke Screen Time permissions
• Disable notifications
• Cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings
• Delete the app to remove all stored data

7. Children’s Privacy

Stride is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Updates will be reflected by the “Effective Date” above.

• Have an Apple ID
• Have Screen Time enabled on your device

Stride is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any fitness or health program.

Stride is not responsible for injuries or health issues resulting from physical activity.

4. App Functionality

Stride relies on:

• Apple Health step tracking
• Apple Screen Time restrictions

Stride is not responsible for inaccuracies in step tracking or changes in Apple APIs that affect functionality.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Stride Pro subscriptions are billed through Apple.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in Apple ID settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies.

6. Limitation of Liability

Stride is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

We are not liable for:

• Data loss due to device issues
• Changes in Apple system behavior
• Interruptions in service
• Behavioral outcomes or productivity changes

Your use of the app is at your own risk.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue Stride at any time.
